Izmir Chamber of Commerce, as a finalist in the World Chambers Competition that was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on June 3-5 2009, has become one of the 5 chambers that won a prize between 19 finalists that were chosen from 47 projects. Izmir Chamber of Commerce won the prize for "Best Project from a developing country" through the "Project of Izmir University of Economics".

World Chambers Congress is the only international event that is organized by International Chamber of Commerce and that brings together all of the chambers in the world. International Chamber of Commerce has approximately 14.000 members.

This congress provides the Chambers the possibility of the exchange of ideas about the new services, new products, new trends and structural changes. Besides, the representatives of the Chambers may be joined by businessmen and these delegations may have business connections.

The speakers of the congress are the representatives from the chambers, unions of commerce, business world and government leaders and experts.
