Access to Izmir
Izmir İzmir has 629 square kilometers of coastal line from Dikili at the north to Selçuk at the south. Along this coastal line, there are seaports at Dikili, Çeşme and İzmir. 16 kilometers to the south of the city, Adnan Menderes Airport serves the air transportation with its domestic and international terminals.
Alsancak Sea Terminal at İzmir provides passenger transportation to many destinations with domestic and international scheduled departures, such as İzmir -
İstanbul and İzmir Veniceline's. There are 3 marinas, one at İzmir Üçkuyular and two at Çeşme and a yacht terminal along the coast.
It's possible to reach any part of Turkey through land transportation. Intercity Bus Terminal is located at 11 kilometers to the East of the city. İzmir - Aydın and İzmir - Çeşme connections are provided by motorways. İzmir is also connected to the country by railroads. Many routes are possible, either directly or by connected trains, to various destinations inside Turkey. In addition to these means which connect İzmir to outside, public transportation is provided via underground, ships and ferries, municipal buses and commercial cabs.
